Andrew Baird - Ireland

|
I've been based on the North Coast of Co. Antrim for over ten years. The US small fly scene and its heroes (Ed Engle, Vince Marinaro and Ed Koch) are my reference points on the fly fishing map. Northern Ireland has a wealth of small streams and carriers to explore, where small flies can be successfully fished for wild, hard fighting trout. Tying and fishing small flies with short rods and light lines, on the smallest of waters is my style.
I'll be tying sub #24 flies - dries, emergers and midges at the Irish Fly Fair including a range of #32's on the TMC 518 hook, and look forward to talking small fly tactics and tackle at the show.
