Andy Boekholt - Netherlands

My name is Andy Boekholt and I live in Spijkenisse (The Netherlands)
I was born in 1970 and I started fishing at the age of 6, since 2001 I only practice fly fishing.


I hardly fish in The Netherlands because there are no rivers where you can catch trout, grayling or salmon. So I have good reasons to travel to Scandinavia many times and I always have a great time there, I really enjoy it!

After tying thousands of nymphs and dry flies I was looking for a new challenge so I started tying classic salmon flies.

I started 4 years ago filling my antique cabinet that will contain 450 flies. At this moment I have tied 300 flies and I hope to finish my collection in about 3 years from now.
