Irish Fly Fair - Tyer - David Wolsoncroft-Dodds
David Wolsoncroft-Dodds - England

For many years, David has specialised in fly fishing for pike. He has caught pike from many countries and has ventured to the Swedish Baltic and the vast wilderness of Northern Manitoba. He particularly enjoys hunting pike in Ireland and his fly-rod has landed many impressive specimens.

David’s pike flies are tied to imitate the fish that the pike eat and are designed to work enticingly in the water and to withstand the pike’s impressive armoury of teeth. He has developed techniques that allow him to fish with confidence throughout the year.

His new book – Fly Fishing for Pike – was published by Quiller in July. He also writes on the subject for the magazine Fly Fishing & Fly Tying.

David will be giving a talk on catching ‘Big wild fish from big wild waters’.

He confesses to being totally obsessed and will be happy to answer questions and to offer help and advice.
