Irish Fly Fair

Steve started fly fishing around the age of 8 on the River Bann in his home town of Coleraine.

Very quickly fishing became more than just a hobby and upon leaving school Steve attended Sparsholt College in Hampshire to study fishery management. Twelve years working on a trout Fishery followed and this is where Steve was able to study both fish and angling at close quarters. It was also a great place to practice casting and Steve ...gained both STANIC and APGAI qualifications.

Steve had always dreamt of going into teaching full time and this was achieved when he became chief casting instructor with Sportfish in Reading and added to his qualifications with the FFF, CCI and AAPGAI Masters qualifications in both Trout and Salmon disciplines. Steve then spent 9 years with Hardy and Greys Ltd as both Territory Sales Manager and also Marketing Manager.

Steve is the UK and Irish representative for Flyfish Europe whose brands include Simms, Scott Fly Rods, Scientific Anglers and Waterworks Lamson. As well as giving Casting Demonstrations at the IFF, Steve will be giving dealers support for Simms and you will be able to find him on The GUIDES CHOICE STAND.
